Anasazi Heritage Center

The center is located in Dolores, Colorado. The website contains a wealth of information and resources concerning the Anasazi. Of particular interest is the artifact gallery and narrative materials explaining who the Anasazi were.

Crow Canyon Archaeological Center

The Center is located in Cortez, Colorado. One of the resources contained in this site is a narrative overview of Pueblo Indian history, supplemented by instructive graphics. It also contains a virtual historical field trip and a feature that allows students to ask actual archaeologists questions about that subject.

Mesa Verde National Park

This site contains information about the park, but also links to an electronic book that contains a wealth of information about the Ancient Puebloans who inhabited this area for several centuries. http://www.nps.gov/meve/

Southern Ute Indian Tribe Home Page

This site was created and is maintained by the tribe. It contains information about Southern Ute history and culture, as well as current affairs of the tribe. http://www.southern-ute.nsn.us/

Teaching with Historic Places
